Main Street Management
- The Annual Meeting and Dinner was held on October 16; 51 attended; Net income $814.25
- Printed Downtown Directory Brochure and delivered to downtown businesses
- Produced the first “Main Street Matters” flyer and delivered to downtown businesses
- Completed permanent Kiosk sign with Downtown Directory
- Manager wrote an article for the Main Street News
- An 8 minute Main Street video was produced and presented at the Annual Meeting. The video could be used for outreach to other organizations.
- October 30, Manager attended a Main Street Grant Writing Workshop in Safety Harbor.
- Manager wrote an article for the Main Street News
- Annual Report information available from the City.
- Board of Directors Workshop held on November 5
- Met with Bob Kelly and Ed Ferking on the downtown property database
Promotions
- Held Bike Fest on October 11 and November 9
- Pioneer Days: 3 middle school student volunteers handed out Downtown Directories, 13 businesses participated, recruited 2 new members
- Met several times with Cathy Montero, music teacher, about High School Chorus window painting fundraiser and the December 5 Christmas Choral Extravaganza.
- Met with Amy Avirett about December 6 Christmas Expo
- Promotions Committee met on October 31
Meetings
- Held Board of Directors meeting on October 10
- Participated in the Hotel proposal review process: October 20, October 23, November 10 and November 12
- Participated in Tourism Committee meeting October 28
- Attended Chamber of Commerce After Hours at Lilly, O’Toole & Brown Oct. 28
Administration
- Established group health insurance plan for Chamber and will provide coverage for Main Street manager through the plan. Cost at 75% of monthly premium is $419.18.
- Getting quotes for business liability, D & O Insurance, and event insurance
- During December, will be working with Treasurer to allocate income & expenses to appropriate categories for 2006-07, to submit last 2 years financial statements for Alex Wheeler to include with the application to reestablish 501 (c) 3 designation.
