Small businesses are the backbone of America, and a vibrant Downtown contributes much to our community’s economy. Lake Wales Main Street is the non-profit organization dedicated to historic preservation and revitalization of our Downtown core business district. Main Street works to support existing merchants and to attract new businesses to the Downtown core.
The Main Street vision includes a full complement of high quality retail businesses filling all ground floor vacant properties additional professional offices upstairs. Downtown Lake Wales should become a successful attractor of not only local patrons, but also out-of-town visitors.
Like other well-planned Main Street communities, Lake Wales is seeking to become a destination shopping village and event venue that contributes to the local job market and tax base while enhancing quality of life for Lake Wales citizens.
