The show promotes the Lake Wales business district and has proved to be a huge success. With over 100 cars and many spectators, our downtown restaurants and retail stores have enjoyed additional business on the day of the shows as well as repeat business throughout the month.

Jennifer Johnston, a professional DJ from “WJBJ cruising with the classics” has been hired for all the events. WJBJ is involved with many of Central Florida’s car cruises & sends out a weekly e-mail notifying cruisers on their list of upcoming shows, announces future shows and distributes flyers of future shows and events. The Lake Wales Newspaper along with “Mike Kelly’s Cruise News” is also advertising this event.

The DJ will raffle door prizes at the end of the evening, consisting of cash give-a-ways, merchant gift certificates, discount coupons, and other promotional items donated from local businesses. These door prizes are very popular with the cruisers and the most popular car shows all have active merchant associations who see the value in the cruisers coming back month after month, along with the spectators they attract.
