Main Street Management

•Held a Board Retreat on July 25 at the Woman’s Club. Betty Wojcik facilitated.

•Wrote an article for the Main Street News and posted on Main Street web site.

•Conducted a Main Street Business Workshop on August 6 at PSC.

•Citizens Bank has agreed to sponsor the beer and wine for the Annual                    Meeting on October 16.

•Polk State College will be a $500 Table Sponsor for the Annual Meeting.

•Annual Meeting sponsor letters have also been sent to CenterState Bank,              Progress Energy, Peterson & Myers, Lilly, O’Toole & Brown, and ER Jahna              Industries.

•Created a Main Street Matters flyer to inform downtown businesses about              Rumble on the Ridge and the Main Street Business Workshop. Manager hand        delivered the flyers to downtown businesses.

•Met with Harold Gallup, Betty Wojcik, Jorge Rivera and Amy Avirett about               Rumble on the Ridge

•Met twice with VFW about Rumble on the Ridge and the Veteran’s Day                  Parade. The VFW local and regional Commanders have agreed to work closely          with Main Street to plan and promote both the parade and the downtown               event.

•Created an online survey page to collect information from downtown property          owners for the online database and for use by the Economic Restructuring             Committee. There is a link on the front page of LakeWalesMainStreet.com.

•Posted Progress Reports online

•Updated downtown Business Directory

•Updating Kiosk Sign on both sides

•Virtual Tour currently has 26 videos: YouTube.com/user/lakewalesmainstreet
